We invest heavily in our staff through ongoing training and will always encourage our staff to undertake relevant courses as part of their personal development activities. In most circumstances, Biochemica will cover training costs.
Finance Manager Louise Learman undertook numerous finance courses, including AAT Level 3 Intermediate Diploma in Accounting, IAB Level 1 and 2 in Manual Bookkeeping and IAB Level 1 and 2 in Computerised Bookkeeping, which were funded by Biochemica. She said:
“Although I already had relevant experience and a high level of competency in my role, Biochemica offered me the opportunity to gain the appropriate qualifications to back my skills up. I have since benefited from an increased confidence, furthered my professional development and my experience is now supported in a professional capacity, which is something that may not have been possible if I had to self-fund the courses.”
