Following the hair raising success of Biochemica’s inaugural Movember efforts last year, ‘Team Bio Tash’ has reunited in an attempt to raise vital funds for prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.
Staff at the North East’s largest water treatment firm have also encouraged family members, clients and suppliers to discard their razors and join the team, which raised over £2,700 for the 2012 campaign.
Led by Mo Sister and Biochemica Office Manager, Louise Learman, the month long moustache movement will come to a climax at the company’s next quarterly meeting where the best Mo will be awarded with a prize.
Commenting, Louise said: “Movember is a cause close to the hearts of many of us at Biochemica, particularly our Managing Director Dave Ruddy. He was the original force behind the formation of Team Bio Tash, inspired by his father who has battled prostate cancer since 2005.
“A moustache is the mark of a man, and today it is a symbol to spark conversations about important health issues. We welcome anyone with a passion for hairy upper lips to join our team and help raise awareness and funds for this great initiative.”
