Biochemica UK Ltd has been awarded an Innovation Award at the recent NE Business awards at Teesside University for its unique foam cleaning technology.

The cleaning technology, which is currently going through the patent process, has significant advantages in terms of Legionella prevention, operator safety and cost benefits. Full scale trials have been performed and the technology is currently being used successfully across a number of large industrial sites in the UK.

Dave Ruddy of Biochemica UK Ltd said: “Our process has been embraced by many large, multi-national companies. After building up an initial case history of full scale trials and then successes, we have been able to offer our technology to an ever growing portfolio of clients. The benefits are easy to see, and significant, ultimately offering cost savings and improvements in process performance.”

“I would like to thank everyone involved in the development of this process, thus far. We hope, in part through this award, to further promote this service and build on our initial success. Thanks also to the Evening Gazette and Teesside University for a great evening and our Innovation Award.”
